Celebrate Black legacy through the power of song. CMC Western Addition Choir (Neighborhood Choir Program for Older Adults and Adults with Disabilities) and Vocal Harmony classes—under the direction of Maestro & Nola Curtis—will perform at a special Black History Month Sunday church service honor the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960’s, what we can take from the past into the present and beyond.. The intergenerational groups will celebrate the occasion singing songs of the 1960s which helped to fuel the movements of the past, with hope to evoke that same spirit to fight the evils that continue to haunt our country today.
