AWE at CMC Art and Music Event

Please join us for an exciting art and music event showcasing power of art, creativity, and community to enrich the journey of aging in San Francisco! Artwork by Art With Elders (AWE) participants will be on display at the Community Music Center. Directed by Martha Rodríguez-Salazar, CMC Solera Singers of Mission Neighborhood Center (Neighborhood Choir Program for Older Adults & Adults with Disabilities) will perform a set of their favorite songs and light refreshments will be served. Come down and enjoy this special afternoon with us! Free of charge and open to the public.

Featured artists come from arts workshops at the Mission Neighborhood Centers, Inc., Curry Senior Center, Community Living Campaign, Stonestown YMCA, Openhouse, Crescent Park, Dr. George W. Davis Senior Center, and AWE Open Studios.

After the event, select artwork will be on display at CMC in the month of December.

Art With Elders (AWE) uses the power of art, creativity, and community to enrich the journey of aging. Art With Elders engages older adults in senior residential communities, senior centers, and living independently in weekly fine art classes with a view to exhibiting their work.
