The Curtis Renshaw Memorial Scholarship honors the life of classical guitarist and Community Music Center teacher Curtis Renshaw by supporting the studies of a guitar student at CMC each year.
Community Music Center offers the opportunity to provide a living legacy for a loved one through funding a full music scholarship to hard working and passionate students who have not had ample opportunity for private lessons.
Perhaps you would like to honor someone who has positively impacted your life such as a special teacher, mentor or family member. You may choose to direct your scholarship toward a specific instrument or genre or you may open it up to any deserving young student.
CMC recognizes Named Scholarship Awards in our Annual Report, in our monthly Do Re Mi email that reaches over 6,000 CMC supporters and friends, and on our social media pages. We invite the student scholarship recipient to acknowledge your gift and share the impact the music scholarship is making on his or her life.
