CULTURA AMBULANTE: CELEBRATING STREET VENDORS AND CULTURAL EXCHANGE IN THE MISSION
Musicians from Mission District Young Musicians Program (MDYMP) and Mariachi CMC Ensemble will join Paseo Artístico with a musical homage to El Palatero.

This June, Acción Latina and Paseo Artístico, the Mission District’s free, bilingual, interactive, art walk down 24th St., honors street vendors as culture bearers whose presence and participation in the neighborhood has roots in Native and Latin American moveable markets and helps sustain economic activity for hundreds of local and international families. Events include performance by Colombian dance group Chekumbe at La Placita vendor market, vendors on multiple corners of 24th Street, and Encuentritos live concert at Acción Latina.
