CMC at Bissap Baobab: Cuban Music Ensembles

CMC is excited to join our neighbors at Bissap Baobab to provide live music every 1st and 3rd Wednesday! Enjoy delicious West African food, tasty beverages, and awesome community “teranga” (hospitality)—with a variety of talented CMC students, faculty, and community performers. Come listen, dance, and celebrate the vibrant culture of the Mission District.

Wednesday, April 30 from 6–8pm
@ Bissap Baobab (2243 Mission Street, SF)
Free (food & drinks sold separately)

This night is part of Dining Out For Life Bay Area. 25% of the bill will benefit San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Project Open Hand!

Join us for an unforgettable evening with the CMC Cuban Music Ensembles, directed by Tregar Otton. Experience the vibrant rhythms of Cuban dance music, including cha-cha-cha, danzón, guaracha, songo, timba, bolero, son-montuno, salsa, and more. 🕺💃

Featuring talented CMC students from Cuban music classes and special guest artists. Bring your dancing shoes and join us for an evening of fun and celebration! The second set will open up for guests to sit in and join the jam—so bring your instrument and talk to Tregar during the break if you want to play!
