The results of a pioneering study about the health benefits of community music for older adults have just been released. The findings of this collaborative study between UCSF, Community Music Center, and the San Francisco Department of Aging and Adult Services are momentous, and reinforce the importance of CMC's community choirs in the lives of seniors in San Francisco. Community Music Center's Older Adult Choir Program serves nearly 400 people in culturally diverse neighborhoods throughout San Francisco.
