Zahra Rothschild

(2022). B.A., Music (with specialization in vocal performance), double minor Latin American Studies and Ethnic Studies, California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. Zahra has studied and performed a wide variety of musical styles including Middle Eastern popular music, musical theater, Western classical (including opera), vocal jazz, and early vocal music. She is especially interested in researching and performing Latin American art song, which she has studied with Dr. Craig Russell and Dr. Patricia Caicedo. In her free time she likes listening to Bossa Nova and boleros. Zahra’s teaching style is all about documenting and celebrating successes and learning music that the student is passionate about (and that brought them to lessons in the first place!). Also speaks Spanish.
