Erick Peralta

(2016) Erick Peralta is a versatile musician with a special appreciation for all types of music. From an early age, he was exposed to various styles of music thanks to his father, such as Latin Pop, Afro Cuban, as well as his native Afro-Peruvian music. Classically trained from six-years-old, he began playing professionally at the age of 15, then branching out in the San Francisco Bay Area with various jazz, rock, latin Jazz, and salsa groups.

A graduate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Erick currently resides San Francisco, CA, performing and teaching. Past notable performances include having performed with multi Grammy winners Alejandro Sanz, Luis Enrique, and Susana Baca; as well has performed/worked with artists such as Pedrito Martinez, Oscar Hernandez, Bayonics, La Sonora Ponceña, Calixto Oviedo, Oscar Stagnaro, Karl Perazzo, and many more. Erick has taken part performing in festivals and venues, such as: the Latin Grammy Awards, San Jose Jazz Festival, The Regency Ball Room, Berklee Performance Center, Boston Convention Center, the Beantown Jazz Festival, and more.

Alongside performing, the young pianist works in composing and arranging, as well as teaching privately. Proficient in traditional and popular styles, he prepares the student’s curriculum according to his/her needs, keeping in mind their goals and aspirations.
