(2014) Paul Dab is a San Francisco based pianist, teacher, vocal coach, and music director. He engages students on a weekly basis at SF Community Music Center, SF Opera Guild, and SF Conservatory of Music. In lessons, Paul emphasizes a well rounded approach to music making that includes harmonic analysis, listening skills, physical movement, and effective communication. As a performer, Paul presents art song and chamber music recitals, rehearses and directs opera productions, and has been part of the creative process for world premier operas and pieces by local composers. Presenters have featured his performances at Center for New Music, Old First Concert Series, and The 222. He collaborates with Bay Area organizations including Pocket Opera, NACUSA, and Lamplighters Music Theater. Paul received degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Vanderbilt University and has worked in educational outreach at the Contemporary Jewish Museum, the Cypress String Quartet, and the Nashville Symphony.
