Community Music Center collaborates with many organizations, both arts and non-arts, to provide music programming for people of all ages. CMC introduces, deepens and broadens musical experiences for children and adults in pre-schools, elementary, middle and high schools, senior centers and other settings.
Collaborations include programming with San Francisco Unified School District, Bethany Center Senior Housing/Ruth’s Table, Laguna Honda Hospital, and various SF public library branches.
CMC’s Older Adult Choir Program partners with the Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) and 12 senior centers throughout San Francisco. The program has grown as choirs have cycled out of the Community of Voices research study led by UCSF in partnership with CMC and DAAS.
For information on creating a specially designed program for your organization, contact Program Director, Sylvia Sherman at SSherman@sfcmc.org or call 415-647-6015 x172.
