Journey through three centuries of music with CMC faculty celebrating the unique beauty of the piano trio — violin, cello, and piano. Begin with the elegance of Baroque and Classical trios, move through the rich harmonies of the Romantic era, and explore early 20th-century styles, including Latin and film music. The program will include works by Loeillet, Beethoven, Dvořák, Schoenfield, and arrangements of pieces by Piazzolla, Gershwin, Morricone, and Mancini. Alongside the performance, the concert will offer an educational experience: performers will share context and stories about the music, showing how the trio format evolved and why it remains such a beloved ensemble.
