Songs & Stories Intergenerational Choir

An intergenerational class exploring the transformative power of storytelling through song. The most lasting songs—from across all genres—tell stories that speak to us. We seek out songs that reflect our own experiences and help us connect to others. In this performance-oriented class, older adults and youth come together to explore musical storytelling, learn some nuts and bolts of singing, and practice techniques for creating collaborative group performances.

Co-presented by Ruth’s Table and Community Music Center, this class brings together two Capp Street neighbors who share a passion for creativity, connection, and community. Together, we blend Ruth’s Table’s focus on creative aging and intergenerational exchange with CMC’s deep commitment to accessible, high-quality music education.
