Musical Storytime supports musical development in very young children, inspiring a lifelong love of music.
This drop-in weekly musical activity for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers introduces music while supporting cognitive and social development. Teacher Daniel creates an engaging and fun class for children and caregivers to experience the benefits of music in an interactive environment.
Each class uses songs, musical games, and movement-based work. This can include rhythmic activities, singing, dancing, and using age appropriate instruments and accessories to live and recorded music. Parents and caregivers are strongly encouraged to participate in the activities to help model and reinforce learning.
Classes will meet in CMC’s Mission Branch Courtyard weather permitting. If the class is moved indoors, it will take place Concert Hall with doors and windows open.
