Richard Thomas

(2019) From childhood, Richard Thomas studied piano with Kent Brosveen, a Juilliard graduate who studied with Josef Raieff, a student of Joseph Lhevinne, Alexandro Siloti, Harold Bauer, and Artur Schnabel. Richard was admitted into the San Francisco Conservatory of Music on a full scholarship and studied with Mack McCray. Along with currently finishing a masters degree in piano from San Francisco State University, Richard and has been teaching and performing in the SF Bay Area his entire adult life. He performs frequent recitals around the city and with local ensembles playing jazz, rock and musical theatre, and he has taught piano professionally for 20 years, and is a highly skilled teacher in all skill levels.
