Daniel Herrera

(2019) Trumpet and Flugelhorn player Daniel Herrera delivers melodic stories with style and grace. Having developed a unique sound drawing from jazz, funk, R&B, and even reggae, he captivates audiences with an effortless approach, stellar musicianship, and a charming demeanor. He has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, playing some of the world’s most renowned jazz and music festivals.

Daniel is co-founder and manager of two bands: Honor Brass Band, a collection of top Bay Area brass musicians that pays homage to the music of New Orleans with searing pop and funk arrangements, and Fine And Mellow, a jazz ensemble featuring a vocalist. Daniel is also a full time member of Thrive, a nationally touring Reggae band that has performed and toured with some of the biggest names in reggae. They recently released their fourth album “Be Love” that has been welcomed with critical acclaim, and has been said to be their best work yet!

Daniel attended Berklee College of Music, studying Music Business and Performance, and has extensive professional experience as a performer, writer, arranger, teacher, bandleader, and small business owner. This background has shaped his teaching philosophy, which integrates technique and fundamentals with listening, discussion, and skill-building to take a dynamic, well-rounded look at becoming a successful musician. danielherreramusic.com
