“Journey through the Americas and the Great American Songbook” a solo piano performance hosted by Community Music Center. Marco Diaz, who is CMC alumni and on the faculty of the Mission District Young Musicians Program (MDYMP), takes you on a musical journey through the Caribbean and Latin America. Musical styles such as the bolero, danzón, cha cha cha, tango, cumbia, son, merengue, and stride piano have helped shape his multifaceted musical career. Diaz will also adapt well-known Great American Songbook standards into rich styles of his choosing.
COVID-19 requirements subject to change per SFDPH per health order.
Performance is free with admission into the Botanical Garden. Free for San Francisco Residents and children under 5. Non residents: $10 Adult / $7 Seniors and Youth ages 12–17 / $3 Youth ages 5–11
