Theodora Carson

(2017) Theodora Carson is an active soloist and collaborative pianist throughout the Bay area. A native of the Pacific Northwest, she has performed with the Marrowstone Island Orchestra, Seattle Wind Symphony, and Bainbridge Island Orchestra in Seattle, Washington. As a chamber musician, she has performed at the Vancouver Academy of Music in British Columbia, Canada, at the Bryanston Chamber Music Festival in Dorchester, England, and at the Instituto del Arte Contemporaneo in Lima, Peru. She was an artist in residence at the Killington Chamber Music Festival in Vermont, and at the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina.

She has been a faculty accompanist at The Boston Conservatory of Music, Olympic Dance Company, Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir, University of Washington, and at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. In San Francisco, she has collaborated with Mercury Soul premiering new works by Mason Bates, and the Classical Revolution Orchestra performing chamber music in non-traditional settings. Ms. Carson did her undergraduate studies in piano performance at The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, and her graduate work at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studied with Paul Hersh. She is currently the choral accompanist at The Urban School of San Francisco, and faculty accompanist at the University of San Francisco.
