Zina Bozzay

(2010) Hungarian Folk Singing. BM Oberlin Conservatory of Music, MA Mills College (Composition). Zina is a professional composer, singer, pianist, music researcher, and educator. She has a background in classical music, various types of contemporary music, and folk musics from Eastern Europe and Latin America.

She currently teaches at her private studio in San Francisco, and creates a fun, supportive, well-rounded introduction to piano, music reading, and general music skills for beginning-intermediate kids (5+) and adults. She has also done extensive work with traditional Hungarian folk songs, which she performs around the Bay Area and teaches in private lessons, in her weekly singing circle, to professional folk singers, and to the local community. Also speaks Spanish and Hungarian.
