Ear training for tango dancers! This workshop guides you to the rhythmic essence of tango, so that you can step confidently, work on your longer sequences and phrases, and know when to walk and when to stay in place. We’ll explain musical structure in simple terms so that you can follow the story being told by each tango, and look at the rhythmic details that make up this unique dance music.
We’ll feel the beat in our bodies through clapping and stepping exercises, and learn to hear the common phrases in tango music. With live music!
