Fête Concerts celebrates the Birthday of Igor Stravinsky!
Igor Stravinsky was one the most influential composers in the 20th Century. His music was rooted in classical tradition and Russian folk music and was inspired by the experimental visual and performing arts permeating Europe during his life. Stravinsky’s collaborations with the top dancers, painters, and musicians like Nijinsky, Diaghilev, and Picasso produced some of the most shocking and talked-about works of all time.

Works include: Suite Italienne, Three Japanese Lyrics, A Soldiers Tale Trio with text by Douglas Penick, and a specially arranged “Happy Birthday” by local composer Joseph Colombo.
