Vocalist Clairdee performs with Ken French, piano; Gary Brown, bass; and Jim Zimmerman, drums. Her special guest will be vocalist and percussionist Daria Johnson.

Clairdee is a captivating song stylist who has has an intimate, vulnerable and gentle way with a ballad, yet can swing or shout at will. With her lustrous voice, heartfelt delivery, and scene-stealing charisma, she has honed a repertoire of standards set to state of the art arrangements that are equally smart and entertaining. Says Nancy Wilson, “In the tradition of all great vocalists, Clairdee infuses her own unique style while always remaining true to the song itself.” She is unpretentious, charming and charismatic, and her performances convey a welcoming air of hospitality. Clairdee’s “mission is to engage, uplift and build community through music — creating narrative that inspires beyond the stage.”

Daria Johnson is a drummer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist. Her style is solid, smooth, dependable and sensual. Her dynamic spirit has earned her the title as one of the most sought-after drummers in the Bay Area, having performed with with Eoin Harrington, Theresa Perez, Esperanza Spalding, Sean Leahy, Four Year Bender, Crystal Monee Hall, Edna Love, Trevor Garrod (Tea Leaf Green), Dan Lebowitz (ALO), Kofy Brown, Vortex Tribe, Vudustu, Papa Mali and Eric McFadden. Johnson brings fire to the stage, revealing that her talent not only resides when she is on her throne behind the set, but also on the mic, and in the studio.
